Sailor V was to have her own anime but Naoko wanted more. She decided to add four other girls into the series and created SAILOR MOON which became an international hit!As the years continued, Naoko worked on many other mangas then in 1997 seemed to disappear, leaving her story PQ Angels seven pages short. It was rumored she went on a vacation, exploring the word, and came back around working with her beau.Yoshihio Togashi was the creater of mangas such as Hunter X Hunter. He was who Naoko married in 1999 and had a son with. The two also created a manga called Toki*Meca together. When the idea of a live-action came about for Sailor Moon in 2003, Naoko was heavily involved. The live-action was named Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon which she wrote many songs for (she had also written songs for the anime).Below are her other works:

Born on March 15, 1967, Naoko grew up with a younger brother named Shingo. Shingo is also the name of Usagi's younger brother, Naoko also used the other names of her family members in Sailor Moon and talks about this in interviews and author notes throughout the manga. The school she attended wore sailor suits and she joined clubs such as the astronomy and manga club which later influenced her work. During school she had the dream of becoming a manga artist but her father wished for another career choice, as backup, so she attended a university to study in Chemistry. At 19 she published her first manga "Love Call" which she won an award for. After publishing her next manga which was her first longer story, Maria, she worked on a series called The Cherry Project. It was then that she took interest in writing a story about outer-space that revolved around female fighters. Her editor went for the idea and asked for the girls to be in sailor suits like the girls in Japan wore to school. Thus creating the concept of Sailor V in 1991.
