Who is ChibiUsa?

​

Chibi-Usa, or Rini as the English dub calls her, is the future daughter of Usagi and Mamoru. She travels from the 30th century to the 20th century to help save her parents. As the series progresses, Chibi-Usa trains with the Sailor Senshi to become a soldier. Chibi-Usa loves and respects her mother Neo-Queen Serenity, but quarrels with Usagi like they're sisters. At first the two don't like each other but later on their bond becomes very close. Her dream is to become a lady like her mother and marry her own prince, who is later revealed to be Helios.

Another close bond that Chibi-Usa has is with Outer Senshi, Sailor Pluto, who calls her Small Lady. Small Lady is how she's referred to in the future and is also called this by Diana, the daughter of moon cats Artemis and Luna.

She carries around a toy that is an enlarged head that looks very similar to a very happy Luna.

Chibi-Usa as Sailor Chibi-Moon:

Sailor Chibi-Moon, known as Sailor Mini Moon in the English dub, comes to the 20th century for a second time to train and become a real sailor soldier. While in the manga her attacks are strong, the anime portrays her a little weaker and has Sailor Moon join attacks.

 

As she grows and matures as Sailor Chibi-Moon in the manga, it turns out that she has a group of her own soldiers called Sailor Quartet (their names are: CeresCeres, PallaPalla, JunJun, and VesVes, who were also once enemies to the soldiers due to being woken by Queen Nehellenia and forced to work for her).

Chibi-Usa as Black Lady:

​

Chibi-Usa is brainwashed by the Black Moon Clan and is transformed into an adult, calling herself Black Lady (or Wicked Lady in the English version). The Wiseman is able to twist Chibi-Usa's memories, making his control much easier. She's made to believe nobody loves her and that her parents didn't want her and he would take care of her.

 

After trying to kill Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, Chibi-Usa is saved by Sailor Moon who changes into Neo-Queen Serenity and holds Black Lady, showing her love for her daughter, thus turning Black Lady back into Chibi-Usa. (In the manga it is the death of Sailor Pluto that saves her. Her tears activate the future Silver Crystal and she transforms into Sailor Chibi-Moon for the first time).
