Who is Setsuna Meiou?

​

Setsuna, given the name Trista for the English dub, appears later in the series as a college student and has a very stern, distant personality, but she is very friendly towards the younger sailor soldiers.

​

She vows with Haruka and Michiru that she would care for Hotaru, the reborn Sailor Saturn, and become her family until it was time to join the sailor soldiers again.

Setsuna as Sailor Pluto:

​

Soldier of Time and Space, Sailor Pluto is a mysterious character whos duty is to guard the time corridor. This duty is a very lonely job and while doing so, ChibiUsa befriends her and they become very close and she acts as ChibiUsa's guardian when ChibiUsa comes to the 20th century. When given the duty to guard the time corridor, Queen Serenity gave Sailor Pluto a set of taboo rules she would have to obey:

1. She mustn't travel through time

2. She must not abandon her post at the door of time

3. She must never cause time to stop, for if it was, she would die.

(Honestly sounds like a punishment to me and if you always felt like there was something going on with her feelings for Endymion, it totally is a punishment!!)

 

Sailor Pluto carries the Garnet Rod which gives her the power to stop time. This rod is one of the three talismans that the Death Busters are searching for. The other two talismans are carried by Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune.
