Act 8
Sailor V thanks the Guardians for all their hard work and that she's been watching them from a distance. The white cat that is with her tells them tht they've been helping them learn how to fight through the Sailor V game at the arcade. Sailor Moon knows exactly what she's talking about since Sailor V in the game turned to speak to her directly. Her communicator then blinks and it's Luna asking them if everything is alright - Sailor V is excited to hear from her and tells her they'll be there soon.
For the first time, we see how the Sailor Guardians transform back into their civilian form. She tells them that she is a second-year junior high student outside being a Sailor Guardian and her name is Minako Aino.
Act 8 begins with Sailor Moon being certain that this girl in an orange sailor uniform like her and the others is Sailor V, but the others are skeptical until Sailor V puts on her glasses. The white cat then introduces Sailor V as the Moon Princess from the Silver Millenium - successor to the Legendary Silver Crystal - Princess Serenity. While all of this is happening, Luna and Queen Beryl are watching.
Sailor Moon sees the crescent moon on Sailor V's forehead and her tiara changes. It's now just a moon and she's given a vision of a Moon Palace and knows that it's important. She turns her attention back to Zoisite who looks at all the Sailor Guadians around him and disappears. He's disappointed he didn't get them this time around. When he disappeares, he leaves Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon's view and he looks shocked. He looks up at Sailor V and repeats her name: "Princess Serenity". He too takes off feeling like the name seems familiar. Sailor Moon calls after him, but he continues to run - thinking back on the attack Zoisite almost sent upon and Sailor Moon and how he couldn't protect her.
At the arcade, Minako tells the girls that she met her partner, Artemis, long before they met Luna. She tells them that as Sailor V they were solving the mysterious crimes occuring in Tokyo and as they collected more information they realized there was more to it than just crimes. She explains that this enemy goes by the name of the Dark Kingdom and it's controlled by a powerful dark entity that was to conquer Earth and she's been stealing human energy to do so.
Rei asks if she's met her before and Minako answers that a long time ago she did - this entity destroyed the Silver Millennium's Moon Kingdom and stole everyone's happiness. They managed to seal her away but someone broke the seal. She tells them that they must seal their enemy again so that this doesn't happen once more. Usagi understands now why they became Sailor Guardians anad asks where the Legendary Silver Crystal is. Minako tells her that it's safe but she can't tell them where it is. Usagi and the others tell her that she can count on them and they will fight till the end.
At the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl informs Queen Metaria that the Moon Princess has appeared. Metaria believes that the Moon Princess will destroy her and rebuild her kingdom. Queen Beryl reminds her that if she is the Princess then she knows where the "Legendary Silver Crystal" is. Queen Metaria agrees and tells her to lure the Princess out so they can conquer what is theirs.
When Queen Beryl leaves Queen Metaria's lair, Kunzite approaches her. He asks her if he can become of service to her and kisses her hand. She tells him she expects great things from him and accepts his offer.
Sailor Moon confronts Kunzite about attacking Sailor V - their Princess - and Sailor V tells them it's too dangerous and that they should let her handle this. Sailor Moon turns to her and calls her Princess, then changes her mind and calls her Minako-chan, then continues to tell her to try and not do everything by herself. She tells her that it's their turn to help her. Sailor Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter begin to tell her that they were all alone too before they met Usagi and now they are precious friends and when times are tough they're there to help each other.
Kunzite throws an attack at them, tired of hearing them talking and they jump away, sending attacks back at him. But Kunzite's shield is too strong. Sailor V calls for Sailor Moon to attack with the Moon Stick. She calls for her "Healing Escalation" attack but Kunzite appears behind her and attacks her then sends another attack at Sailor V - who is swept away by Sailor Jupiter.
Sailor Moon falls away from everyone and the tower but is caught by Tuxedo Mask. She's shocked that he saved her and quickly pulls him into a hug. She tells him that this is going to be dangerous and they'll take care of the enemy. She tells him to run away and then kisses him; then jumps away to join the others again. Tuxedo Mask watches her join them again and thinks about how strong she is today, and how he sees a different side to her every time he sees her.
As the girls are in Sailor Jupiter's bubble looking for Sailor Moon, Kunzite gets ready for another attack. But Sailor Moon jumps in between them. Sailor V calls for her, but it's too late. Kunzite sends the attack.
Sailor Moon is frozen in fear, but Tuxedo Mask makes sure that he will protect her and leaves where he is to save her again. He puts himself between Sailor Moon and the attack. The act ends with Sailor Moon calling out "Tuxedo Mask!!" and his mask flying behind them and Sailor Moon's eyes in horror.
That night, Minako is walking through the streets with Artemis and everyone around her freezes. She hears a man calling out to her and she recognizes him as Kunzite. He tells her to meet him alone at the top of Tokyo Tower with the crystal or he will kill all the citizens. She takes him up on his offer and runs into Usagi and the others. They insist she comes to Mak-chan's for dinner but she tells them that she has other things to do and runs to the tower. Just then the streets black out and Luna communicates with them, telling that something is happening at Tokyo Tower. As they start running towards the tower, they see the civilians around them on the ground - their energies drained. Usagi begins to think about Mamoru.
At this time, Mamoru is awoken by a dream of a woman calling him "Endymion". He thinks it's a dream but feels more like someone was calling out for him. When his light doesn't turn on, he goes to his window and looks out to the tower - the city is in darkness.
Minako arrives at the tower and sees Kunzite waiting for her. She transforms with her pen (not calling out anything) and appears before Kunzite on the top of Tokyo Tower. He asks her where the crystal is and she tells him that she will never give it to him. She attacks him with her Crescent Boomerang, but Kunzite puts up a shield and attacks her. She's blown to the edge of the tower and begins to tell him of his "true self". He's shocked by her saying this, but Queen Beryl's voice appears, telling him to finish her off.
Before Kunzite can attack Sailor V again, the other Sailor Guardians appear. They are inside a green bubble which is coming from Sailor Jupiter (never before seen power of Sailor Jupiter's).
Usagi walks to school and thinks about Sailor V/the Princess and feels as if she's still holding back something very important from them. She looks up and sees Mamoru at the park reading books about crystals. He apologizes to her for not being able to protect and that he's ashamed to look her in the face, but he guesses he was destined to bump into her again which makes Usagi blush. She remembers she has his watch and goes to give it back to him, but he tells her to keep it and that he has something of hers that he needs to return as well. He tells her they'll trade next time - he promises.
Luna realizes that Usagi is in love with him and walks away from the two's conversation. She's upset that Usagi is back to talking to Mamoru but wonders if it's okay for them to fall in love. Artemis appears telling her not to worry and that her first mission was to find the Sailor Guardians and nuture them, but she has another mission. Luna is unsure what Artemis means and he tells her that her memories were sealed away to reduce her burden but now it was time to remember everything.
As Minako walks with Artemis after leaving the others, she tells him that their seal on their memories will be broken soon and that time is running out. She wants to settle these matters as soon as possible and Artemis tells her that she's been fighting alone for a long time and that she should work with the others. But Minako refuses - she has an important mission to fulfill and she feels like she's the only one who can do it.
That night, Usagi has a dream about a battle and the same man she's been seeing in her dreams. She accidentally lets go of his hand and calls out his name: "Endymion!" She wakes up and wonders if she dreamt of this because she met the Princess the other day. She remembers another piece of the dream where he called her "Princess Serenity".
