Act 9
Usagi, as the Princess, looks at the watch that was Mamoru's - it's going back in time. She's regaining her lost memories of their sad past. How Endymion was killed protecting her. She remembers him and thinks back on their forbidden love. Endymion was the first prince of the Earth and even though Serenity knew Earth and Moon people should not fall in love, she couldn't help it. She remembers the war that broke out on the Moon - the Earth people rebelled against their Prince and the woman with long red hair slaughtered him.
She cries that they finally found each other again and she wasn't even able to tell him how she really felt. Usagi begins to cry harder, her tear crystalizing. Bright light blinds everyone around her and a piece of it falls out and lands into Tuxedo Mask's chest.
Act 9 begins with Tuxedo Mask jumping in front of Sailor Moon to protect her. As he falls into his "death sleep" he hears a voice calling out to him to open his eyes and wake up. He awakens within his head and sees long hair, the one he keeps seeing in his dreams, he sees the girls face, it's Sailor Moon. She's crying for him to wake up and remembers he's seen this before. "Endymion" is the name he hears and he remembers, that is his true name, but he was reborn as Mamoru Chiba. Tuxedo Mask reaches up to Sailor Moon's face, calling her "Serenity", then passes out.
Sailor Moon can't contain her emotions anymore and screams to the point that her true form awakens. The crescent moon on Sailor V's head turns to a tiara like the others and reappears on Sailor Moon's forehead. Her guardian suit transforms into a gown. They all now know, Sailor Moon - Usagi - is Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom.
Power returns back to the city and Usagi and the Sailor Guardians appear in the arcade. Sailor V asks if she remembers their past. She tells her that she is the true leader of the Sailor Gaurdians and Usagi was their Princess - Serenity. Artemis apologizes for not telling them before but they had to protect the Princess and the crystal. Artemis begins to tell the story that they served Princess Serenity as her Guardians then one day the people of Earth attacked the Moon Kingdom. They faught them off well but when the Prince tried to settle the war, he was killed.
Artemis continues to tell them that their enemy brainwashed the people of Earth and the Sailor Guardians were able to seal her away. Sailor V realizes that Beryl is the one that broke the seal, which reminds Usagi about Tuxedo Mask. She begins to cry again, asking for Tuxedo Mask. She tells Sailor V she is not a Princess, she is an ordinary school girl named Usagi Tsukino. Usagi cries a little more then looks back down at the crystal in her hands, she can't believe her tears broke the seal. Sailor V tells her, her strong love for Prince Endymion did. Usagi flashes back to the death of her beloved and passes out.
Queen Beryl stands before her crystal ball, she is amazed to see the crystal has finally shown itself. Queen Metaria recognizes the true power - she must have it. They all watch as the piece falls into Tuxedo Mask. Queen Beryl appears behind Kunzite, demanding he attack now and get the crystal.
The Sailor Guardians protect Usagi and Tuxedo Mask, using their attacks to knock him away. Queen Beryl attacks them with her powers and when she stops, they find Tuxedo Mask is missing - he's in the arms of Kunzite. The Sailor Gaurdians are protecting their Princess, while Queen Beryl tells them the "Legendary Silver Crystal" is hers and she's done with them. They disappear with Tuxedo Mask as Usagi screams his name.
While the girls are at the arcade, Queen Beryl is back in the Dark Kingdom with her knights and Tuxedo Mask. She asks if Kunzite has found the crystal yet within him and Kunzite tells her no. She tells him to keep searching and to keep him alive. While he stands there- Jadeite, Nephrite, and Kunzite appear telling him they remember him from somewhere. Kunzite is startled by hearing the name "Endymion" but tells the others that their only concern is finding where the "Legendary Silver Crystal" went.
Usagi is woken up from a nightmare of Mamoru being killed by Queen Beryl and begins to cry again.
Back in the arcade, Luna is there alone, thinking about the long sleep her and Artemis went through and how she didn't believe in Usagi. She's upset that after all this time, Usagi was her Princess and she put her through such hardships. Artemis and the girls appear and tell Luna they need to see Usagi - they've been so sad and lonely without her.
They go to Usagi's and ask Usagi if they could come into her room. She allows them to and when they open the door they are all shocked to see Usagi. Her hair is longer than it's ever been and they decide to come in and trim it and put it back in her odangos. Minako tells Usagi that when she was the Princess, her hair was super-long and that Usagi's body is changing due to the sudden recovery of her memories from the past.
Usagi tears up, she feels like she's losing her identity. Luna changes the subject and asks about the crystal - it's no longer shining brigth. Usagi thinks about how bright it shined before and begins to get very upset about Mamoru. She doesn't know what to do and Ami tells her to be strong and get a hold of herself. She tells her that in the Moon Kingdom, Princess Serenity always cheered them up and so does Usagi. Usagi tells them she's not a Princess and Rei tells her she isnt' a Princess and doesn't need to walk the same path - Usagi was born Usagi for a reason. Makoto tells them they're all there now to fulfill what they couldn't before. Usagi tells them thank you as she falls into her tears again and the girls all give her a hug to comfort her.
ActLuna interrupts them and tells them "let's go to the moon." They turn their attention to her and she tells them the key to all the mysteries - the Dark Kingdom and their past - must be on the Moon. Usagi thinks back about how happy she was with her friends and her love. They were all her precious treasures and she decides that she never wants that happiness to be taken away again.
Usagi stands, followed by the others and tells them she will never be a tragic princess again - "Let's go to the Moon and reveal all those secrets."
