Act 2
Act 2 begins with the girl we saw at the end of Act 1 standing at the chalk board of her classroom, Class 5. She is solving an equation by her teacher and all her classmates are stunned. We learn her name is Ami and she is considered a genius in Juban - IQ of 300. While walking alone after school, Ami sees Usagi laughing with Naru and the others - she looks very sad.
In the next scene, we meet Sailor Moon's enemies. They are discussing the "Legendary Silver Crystal". The man, who's name is Jadeite, is apologizing to the woman, calling her Queen Beryl. Queen Beryl is upset, she demands more power for their great ruler. Jadeite tells her that he is one of the Four Kings of the Dark Kingdom and she should leave it to him. He leaves Queen Beryl and calls forth another dust youma.
Usagi arrives at home and is crying to Luna that she doesn't want to be Sailor Moon anymore. She asks Luna who the "evil" are and Luna explains that they are evil spirts that are not supposed to exist in this world. Luna again tells her to find her allies and save their princess. Usagi gets excited about the princess and hopes that Tuxedo Mask and Sailor V are both her allies.
That night, while Usagi is sleeping, Luna appears in her secret base researching a person that she believes to be their ally. She is looking at Ami, the Class 5 Genius.
The next day, everyone is viewing their grades on the school board. Ami Mizuno is at the top with the score of 500. Usagi talks with Naru and the others about Ami's scores and Umino pops up saying it's the "Crystal Seminars" - an expensive study school for the elite. Umino explains that it's not expensive for Ami since her mother is a doctor, then Usagi's friend mentions that she never sees Ami with friends. Little do the girls know, Ami is standing down the hall, away from the crowd of students, looking at them all.
Usagi leaves school, depressed about her report card. She has 20s and 50s, unlike Ami. She then looks up and sees Ami bent over, petting Luna under the chin. Luna jumps up on Ami's shoulder and the two bond quickly. Usagi sees how sweet Ami is being and figures that maybe everyone is wrong, she is friendly! Usagi runs over to meet Ami. Usagi tells Ami that Luna is her cat and Ami shyly says that she thought Luna was an angel. Embarassed by her words, Ami hands Luna back to Usagi, but when their hands touch, Ami is given an image of a palace.
Usagi introduces herself to Ami, telling her that she knows Ami is from Class 5. As she smiles at Ami, she secretly thinks that she wants Ami to be her friend and teach her how to study so she could be a genius girl too. Usagi goes into a daze and Ami waves her hand in front of her face - when Usagi snaps out of it, she asks Ami if she's ever been to an arcade and decides to take her there.
At the arcade, Usagi sits down at the Sailor V game and begins to play. Ami stands behind her watching the game, calculating how it works. When she dies, Usagi invites Ami to play. Ami sits down at the game and is swarmed with people around her cheering as she hits top score. Usagi gives Ami a warm hug telling her she's awesome - Ami blushes.
The next day, Usagi and her friends notice one of the girls leave - she's ignored their call to her. Naru explains that she goes to the Crystal Seminar along with everyone else who says it's fun to go to. Later that day, Usagi goes to the library and sees Ami. She invites Ami to get ice cream with her and the others, but right after Ami agrees, she flashes back to her teacher and her eyes glaze over. She stands up, bows an apology, and leaves Usagi behind. Usagi finds this weird and Luan comes up behind her, agreeing that Ami looked a bit strange. Luna says they should keep an eye on her and Usagi notices that Ami left her Crystal Disk behind.
Usagi leaves school and passes by the Crystal Seminar. Ami's teacher hands her a flyer with Ami on it. She crumples up the flyer and tosses it behind her - hitting the guy from Act 1 in the face. He tells her he's not a trash can then asks if her cat was just talking. Usagi quickly picks Luna up and runs away. Her heart beating crazy again. The man stands there watching Usagi run away and is also greeted by the teacher with a flyer.
A prize falls out of the Sailor V game after Ami is finished playing. It's a blue pen. Usagi instantly becomes jealous and begins beating the machine up until it drops a pink pen for her. She asks Motoki to keep it and Usagi turns around to Ami giggling at her, calling her "Tsukino-san". Usagi retorts back saying "Ami-chan" looks prettier when she smiles, then is taken aback that she called Ami "Ami-chan". She smiles and tells Ami to call her Usagi from now on. Ami then notices the clock and states she has to go. Ami tells Usagi that she's going to this class every day and that all she's good at is studying and that she wants to be a doctor like her mom.
Ami runs to the Crystal Seminar and begins to study. Her teacher approaches her soon after and hands her a "Crystal Disk". She states that with this disk, she could definately become a doctor like her mother.
Inside, Ami is being told by the teacher that this disk was made especially for her. The teacher explains that with Ami's intelligence, they can take over all of Japan and get their hands on the "Legendary Silver Crystal". The teacher notices Ami's pen and picks it up. Ami turns to look at her and the teacher yells that she shouldn't get distracted and that she needs to study more. She throws the pen across the room and Ami goes after it. The teacher grabs Ami's arm to stop her and Usagi rushes in telling her to let go of Ami.
Ami runs to the pen and Usagi the Doctor confronts the teacher, telling her that she knows all about the brainwashing disk. The teacher morphs into a youma and papers begin flying around her. Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon in front of Ami and tells the youma that she won't let it hurt her friend. The youma begins to throw the razor sharp paper at Sailor Moon, who begins to cry again, sending her supersonic waves into the room.
Usagi gets home with Luna and they pop the Crystal Disk into her laptop, but are disappointed to see that it's just regular math numbers. Usagi starts hitting random keys, hoping her and Luna see something unordinary, then a voice appears on the speakers. "Get me... Legendary..." the disk begins to tell the listener to sacrifice themselves the great ruler and collect information about the "Legendary Silver Crystal". Luna tells Usagi this this is a brainwashing device, and Usagi yells that Ami is in trouble.
The building is guarded with security guards and Usagi decides to transform into a doctor. She rushes the doors, telling the guards she received an emergency call, and runs inside.
The youma loses sight but knows exactly where Sailor Moon is when she starts crying that she can't move to attack. Just then the papers are sliced off her and she is swept away from the youma's attack by Tuxedo Mask. When he puts her down, he tells her to finish the youma off. Sailor Moon turns to the youma and calls out for "Moon Tiara Boomerang". The youma is destroyed and Sailor Mercury and Luna join Sailor Moon's side - who notices Tuxedo Mask disappeared.
Jadeite appears again after the fight, upset that a second Sailor Guardian has appeared.
Usagi and Ami walk home together, talking about how Ami's pen helped her transform into Sailor Mercury. They learn that the pens were actually given to them by Luna. Usagi then tells Ami that they should keep being friends and Ami agrees. Ami then says they should head home and have a meeting and ask her all sorts of questions - Usagi begins to cry that she's tired - but they run down the street together hand in hand.
Before the act ends, we see a temple like place and a set of eyes opening.
The youma laughs at Sailor Moon and tells her these waves have no effect on her. The next attack the youma sends are torpedo wads of paper, eventually pinning her to the wall. Ami watches as her friends gets attack, her eyes slowly changing back. As the youma rushes to attack Sailor Moon, Ami snaps out of the brainwash and yells for the creature to stop. She then awakens as another guardian and Luna tells her to yell "Mercury Power Make-up!"
After transforming, Ami is in a suit like Sailor Moon, she is "The Pretty Guardian in a Sailor Suit. Guardian of Intelligence and Wisdom - Sailor Mercury." Sailor Mercury is shocked that this is who she is. Luna tells her, she is exactly who they have been looking for and tells her to fight. Sailor Mercury then uses "Mercury Aqua Mist" to fill the room with fog.
