Act 4
After school, Rei and Ami are at Crown Arcade waiting for Usagi. Rei tells Ami that this is her first time coming to an arcade. Ami invites her to play the Sailor V game which Rei finds very hard to play. Ami then gives her tips on how to play and Rei beats her first boss. They high five but right away Rei pulls back due to never having friends around.
When Usagi arrives, they discuss the youma they've been fighting. They don't know who the enemy are just yet, but Luna explains their ultimate mission is to protect their princess. Luna isn't sure where the princess is, she thinks she is sealed away to protect herself from their enemy. Luna believes that the princess posesses the "Legendary Silver Crystal". Luna tells them the crystal holds unlimited powers and if the enemy gets it, it will be catastrophic. Luna tells them theyare all a clue to finding the princess and once all the Sailor Guardians are awakened, the seal will be broken, and they can then find the "Legendary Silver Crystal".
During this conversation, Usagi is playing Sailor V - not paying attention.
Act 4 begins with Luna looking at images of Usagi, Ami, and Rei. She is not sure though if Mamoru Chiba is friend or foe. She says to herself that they must be cautious of him.
Usagi wakes up late that morning and we see Ikuko sitting at the table looking at the newspaper. She sees Sailor Moon on one page, saying that Sailor Moon is great compared to Usagi. She then turns the page and sees the title "Legendary Secret Treasure Exhibition".
Usagi runs down the road yawning and sees a security checkpoint in the Juban district. When she gets to school, Naru explains that Princess D from the Kingdom of D, the country that produces the most precious stones, is visiting Japan. Naru states that Princess D's greatest treasure will be exhibited at a dinner that night. This leads Luna to beleive that Princess D and her treasure could be what they're looking for.
Usagi arrives home to find her father getting ready for the dinner party Princess D is having - he tells her it's part of the interview for his magazine. Usagi tells him she wants to go but he tells her she'll see it on the news and leaves. Usagi then tells Luna she's going to this party and uses her pen to transform into a princess.
Ami and Rei join Usagi in going to the dance party and they manage to get inside. The guard stops them but only to tell them no animals allowed, he picks up Luna, and the girls go on their way. As they walk inside, Rei states that she has a bad feeling.
While Luna is beating Usagi up to make her pay attention and be a leader, Umino and Motoki walk into the arcade talking about all the police officers outside. Umino approaches Usagi and tells her that he has a picture of Princess D - she has the same glasses as Umino. Usagi states she wants to go to the dinner party too but Rei says she has a bad feeling about it.
Meanwhile, as everyone is in the arcade, Jadeite is walking down the Dark Kingdom's halls - he was not killed, only badly hurt. A man with long silver hair mocks him, Jadeite calls him 'Kunzite'. Nephrite and Zoisite join them, they know the Sailor Guardians are looking for the "Legendary Silver Crystal" as well. Queen Beryl calls them forth and tells them again they must retrieve the crystal to revive their great ruler.
In Princess D's room, she's explaining to her assistant that this event with this treasure is more important to these people than she is. The assistant turns dark and agrees with Princess D, then demands the princess to give her the secret treasure. Ami and Rei barge into the room and the assistant morphs into Nephrite who sends a youma into Princess D. Possessed, Princess D takes off out of the room.
While Ami and Rei are transforming, Usagi is still in the ballroom and notices Princess D rushing into the room. Guards try and stop her but she hits them off and sends an attack throughout the room. Luna tells Usagi they have to leave the room right away. As Princess D makes her way to the balcony, where Usagi is, Usagi tries to stop her from jumping off the ledge.
Inside, Usagi takes off up the stairs to find dance, while Ami and Rei decide to find the princess. Usagi finds the ballroom and bumps into one of the guest, having champagne spilled on her dress. She searches for her hankerchief, but can't find it. A man in a mask picks it up as she runs away.
While this is happening, we see Princess D walk into a room followed by a suspicious woman.
Usagi ends up outside, wondering where Ami and Rei went. Then wishes she had someone to dance with. As she sits with her eyes closed, a man in a mask approaches her - it's Tuxedo Mask (as she calls him). They go into the ballroom and begin to dance together. Usagi tells him that she was just thinking about him, he tells her he was too and tightens his grip on her hand tenderly then spins her. Usagi feels like she's in a dream. Just then Tuxedo Mask sees Luna at the balcony door watching and leaves Usagi on the dance floor. Usagi again feels warm inside after being with him.
As Sailor Mercury and Mars face Nephrite's vision, Sailor Moon joins them to fight him and his youma. Sailor Mars sends her "Akuryo Taison" at Nephrite's vision, but he is only a mist and the attack fails. Tuxedo Mask then calls to Sailor Moon, telling her the only thing that can defeat dark power is powerful light. Luna then chimes in and tells Sailor Moon to use her tiara and reflect the moonlight at Nephrite to defeat him - which she succeeds in.
After Nephrite is defeated, the evil green mist leaves Princess D and she falls to the ground. The mist goes to the rooftop across the way and Nephrite appears in person to Sailor Moon, Mercury, and Mars. He is then joined by three others. They introduce themselves. The man with the long silver hair introduces himself as Kunzite. The one with the long blonde hair states he's Zoisite. Nephrite introduces himself (long brown hair), then lastly Jadeite. Kunzite tells the Sailor Guardians that they will get the "Legendary Silver Crystal" at any cost and that their great ruler will rule the world. After this, they disappear.
When the four disappear, Princess D stirs and the Sailor Guardians run away so she can't see them. But her glasses are off. She is very beautiful and the joke goes that behind his glasses, Umino might be very good looking. As the Sailor Guardians run, Sailor Mars looks back and see Sailor Moon yawning.
While trying to stop Princess D, Usagi is thrown over the balcony. Princess D takes off again and is stopped by Sailor Mercury and Mars.
Tuxedo Mask catches Usagi as she dangles off the balcony, but he loses his grip and slips. As they fall, Luna yells for Usagi to use her pen and when she does an umbrella appears, catching her and Tuxedo Mask. After they land, Tuxedo Mask checks to see if Usagi's hurt then takes off. Luna yells for Usagi to transform.
As Usagi transforms she realizes that she no longer has her tiara - it was destroyed when they last attacked Jadeite. Warmth begins to fill her and she thinks about her dance and the warmth that Tuxedo Mask gives off, just then a new tiara is created.
Luna then interrupts the two, telling Tuxedo Mask to get away from Usagi. She demands who he is and why does he always appear. He tells her he is looking for the "Legendary Silver Crystal" She asks if he is on their side or their enemy - he tells her he doesn't know but if they're after the same thing then yes, they are enemies.
Before the act ends, we see a girl in a brown school uniform running down the street. Lightning crashes behind her. As the rain pours, she continues down the street.
Back at the party, Princess D reveals her treasure - it's a 2,000-karat diamond statue of herself. Ami and Rei are standing in the crowd together, declaring this is not the "Legendary Silver Crystal". As they stand there, Luna, in Ami's arms, wonders where Usagi went.
Out on the balcony, Sailor Moon is passed out on the bench and is approached by Tuxedo Mask. He's thinking about their dance and what Usagi said to him. He cups her face and leans down towards her. As he kisses her, he feels this being familiar and it's warm to him. Usagi feels this as well even though she is asleep, she envisions a man holding his hand out to her.
