Makoto
Sailor Jupiter
Act 5 begins with a girl and her rose umbrella walking down the street wondering when the rain will stop. Next Usagi is seen yawning and Luna reprimanding her for her manners and tells her that she really needs to start paying attention to where she's going. Usagi goes to retort back, but finds herself flying through the air as someone saves her from a car that's about to hit her. Usagi sees that it's a girl with pink rose earrings and watches her stand up and brush her school uniform off. She then tells Usagi to be careful.
Back at the Dark Kingdom, Queen Beryl is upset with the Sailor Guardians and the fact that they haven't found the "Legendary Silver Crystal" or gathered enough human energy for their dark ruler. Nephrite asks to redeem himself and tells Queen Beryl that he will attack the greatest weakness in humans - love.
At school, Naru is showing Usagi and their friends a picture of her in a wedding gown for her cousin. Naru tells them she was fitting the dress in the shopping district, hearing this, Umino appears saying that he heard some men who have visited that shop has gone missing. Usagi and their friend yell at Umino for suggesting that Naru's future cousin-in-law might've gone missing. Naru explains she's a June Bride so she'll have a happy wedding. The thought of this sends Usagi and her friend picturing themselves in wedding gowns.
Usagi gets so excited about being a bride that she steps backwards into someone. She turns around to see it is the girl from this morning. The girl again tells her to be more careful, then gets stopped by a teacher who is reprimanding her for her uniform. The girl defends herself that the uniforms at Juban are too small then walks away. Umino tells Usagi and the others that she's a transfer student in Class 6 and that he heard she has superhuman strength. He goes on to say that she had gotten kicked out of school for fighting.
When lunch comes around, the new girl goes outside due to the girls in the classroom talking about her. Usagi is outside also and is skipping along singing a lunchtime song when she sees the new girl. She spies on her and adores the new girl's lunchbox then sees the food in her box. Usagi is so excited that she jumps out from behind the bench just as a baseball is hit in their direction. The new girl catches the ball before it hits Usagi and throws the ball back at the boys, but with her strength, sends it out over the field.
The girl sits back down and goes to eat but stops. Usagi is drooling over the lunch and is offered some. Usagi plays it off that it's her lunch but ends up picking a roll out of the girl's box, stating that her hand is out of control. Usagi loves the taste of the food and finds out this girl made all the food, including her lunchbox/pouch. Usagi goes on to compliment the girl's earrings and telling her that she's awesome. The girl thanks her then sees an imaging of a palace.
The girl tells Usagi that she's new to town and is living by herself. She goes on to tell Usagi that everyone is afraid and won't talk to her. Usagi laughs and tells her they must be crazy to be afraid of a lovely girl like her. This makes the girl extremely happy. Usagi then tells her to ask her anything about town so the girl does. She wants to know where an affordable supermarket is, a nice general store, and an arcade. Hearing "arcade" makes Usagi excited and brings her straight to the Crown Arcade.
Ami arrives at the arcade seeing Usagi with the new girl. The girl is really good at the Sailor V game and tells Usagi that it's justl ike a real fight: attract the enemy first then catch him off guard; after use a special move and take him out in a single blow. Ami makes note that this girl is really good at the game and has her thoughts interrupted by Usagi stating she's a new student. The girl introduces herself as Makoto Kino.
Motoki, the arcade worker, comes over to the girls, telling Usagi that all her friends are so pretty. Makoto turns to see who is talking and is startled by him. She begins to blush and quietly calls him "senpai". She quickly turns away and Motoki tells the girls he's Motoki Furuhata, but everyone at his university calls him Furu-chan. Usagi giggles then states that if he's Furu-chan then Makoto is Mako-chan.
Later that night, the mannequin at hte shop comes to life and sees Motoki leaving the arcade. She puts him under her power and creates a slave out of him. He manages to find Mako-chan walking down the street and approaches her, telling her he's been looking for her. He cups her face and tells her to look into his eyes and that he loves her. As this is happening, Mamoru is walking down the opposite side of the road and stops to glance over at the two.
Usagi is fast asleep and dreaming about being called a certain direction. She asks who it is and wakes up to find Tuxedo Mask standing at her window. He has his hand stretched out to her and she takes it. Luna wakes up and sees Usagi running down the road with Tuxedo Mask - she calls for Ami and Rei's help.
The girls leave the arcade to go to bridal shop that Motoki tells them he heard rumors about. Mako-chan goes to the windows and stares adoringly at the dresses. Usagi tells her that she'd look beautiful in the dress she's staring at and Ami agrees, her height would suit her well in the dress. Usagi happily spins around saying she wants to be a bride, Ami thinks about a pure white kimono, and Mako-chan states she'd wear whatever would make her husband happy. Just then the girls hear two women state that this bridal shop is cursed and has a ghost bride. Rumor is the mannequin walks around night and seduces men, making them disappear.
Usagi and Ami take Mako-chan to Rei's shrine. Rei instantly zeroes in on Mako-chan, she feels a strange energy from her. Usagi and Ami tell Rei about the ghost and Rei dismisses the fact that men are disappearing, she states she doesn't trust them. As they talk, Mako-chan states that she's going home.
Usagi runs after Tuxedo Mask not sure where she's going until she catches something in the corner of her eye. It's Motoki and Mako-chan with green light around them. Usagi is joined by Ami and Rei and they see the cursed bride on top of one of the buildings, controlling Motoki. The girls transform.
The bride sends an attack towards the Sailor Guardians and Rei stops it by sending her Akuryo Taisan attack, but the youma disappeared. She reappears behind Mako-chan who's energy was taken away. Nephrite appears behind them and tells them humans are pathetic being fooled by appearances and are ignorant of the true nature of things.
Mako-chan wakes up during Nephrite's speech and thinks back to her senpai. She ran after him asking him to walk home with her again but he turns her down, stating he has a girlfriend.
Nephrite notices that Mako-chan is still conscious. She states that Motoki looked a little like senpai and feels like he'd lied to her. Mako-chan starts thinking about how people talked about her, about her strength, and feels like nobody understands her. Nephrite feeds into her feelings, telling her she's a fool to believe in love. Mako-chan falls into herself, calling herself a fool and that she will never believe love again.
Sailor Moon tells her that she's wrong, while calling her Mako-chan - making her realize who Sailor Moon is. Sailor Moon tells her that loving someone is not foolish and that she believes in love. She believes we're all destined to be with someone and that one day she will meet someone who she will love from the bottom of her heart. Sailor Moon asks Mako-chan to believe in her words.
Nephrite yells at them to stop and the youma sends an attack at Sailor Moon, Mercury, and Mars. The attack grabs the three and drops them to the ground. Mako-chan grabs the youma's arm that's around her and tells her that she will show her the power of a pure heart. She flips her away from her and stands before the youma and Nephrite. She imagines the white palace again and a symbol appears on her forehead. Luna rushes to her, throwing her a green pen. She yells "Jupiter Power Make-up!" and transforms into Sailor Jupiter, Guardian of Love and Courage.
Sailor Jupiter sends her "Flower Hurricane" attack at Nephrite and the youma. He is startled by the attack and looks back at Sailor Jupiter. She is giving him a look, a look that he faintly remembers. She sends one last attack: "Jupiter Thunderbolt" and attacks Nephrite and the youma. The youma is destroyed by Sailor Jupiter, while Nephrite disappears.
After the fight, Sailor Jupiter tells the others how a senior she was in love with broke her heart so she didn't want to stay at her school. She states she went to Juban because she felt she needed to - something was waiting for her and now she knows what. The girls welcome her as a Sailor Guardian and Luna appears with a Moon Stick. Luna tells them that now that there are four Sailor Guardians, Sailor Moon must be their leader to protect their Princess and the "Legendary Silver Crystal".
